LaneHawk scanner detects bottom-of-basket items LaneHawk is a loss-prevention solution that helps turn bottom-of-basket (BOB) losses into profits. LaneHawk detects and recognizes items, sends their respective UPC codes to the POS, and includes those items as part of the transaction. LaneHawk makes sure that stores get paid for their BOB items.

LaneHawk visual scanning unit LaneHawk consists of a visual scanning unit installed in the checkout lane, connected to a back office server. When LaneHawk recognizes a BOB item, it sends it to the POS via an Ethernet connection and acts like any other scanner attached to the system. And, LaneHawk integrates with any POS system, simply and easily, including self-checkout.

Losing as little as $10 per lane per per day in a typical store represents $50,000 of annual lost revenue.
