The LaneHawk® Enterprise Manager is a software application that manages a distributed set of LaneHawk in-store servers deployed in a retail enterprise.
The LaneHawk Enterprise Manager keeps track of LaneHawk server status, downloads audit data, updates software and image models, and generates reports to detail LaneHawk's performance. The LaneHawk Enterprise Manager can be run in a Linux or Windows environment. The Enterprise Manager can be used in conjunction with IBM's RIF and SIF frameworks, IBM WRS, Tivoli, and Microsoft SCOM.
The Enterprise Manager is comprised of four major components:
1. Navigation Tree
The Navigation Tree shows all stores in the enterprise that are using LaneHawk.
2. Context Selection Tabs
These tabs allow the user to select different data views and logical operations such as reports, data collection, status and updates.
3. Active Task List
The Active Task List shows information about the tasks that are currently active.
4. Context ViewThe Context View area shows information related to specific context tabs selected.
Reports
One of the principal features of the Enterprise Manager is its ability to analyze and generate reports from the LaneHawk audit data and POS Tlog data. A typical report is Risk Transactions (where cashiers may be attempting to pass the system).
Collecting Data
The Enterprise Manager collects data from LaneHawk audit logs and also from POS Tlogs to generate reports. Some data can be downloaded while other data is retrieved outside the Enterprise Manager and then imported.
Checking Status
The Enterprise Manager also allows for
real-time access to view the status of LaneHawk stores. This tool lets you monitor each lane of each LaneHawk store and shows you if there are any lanes not operating properly.
Updating Software and Image Models
The Update context screen provides a mechanism to import software updates into the LaneHawk Enterprise Manager for deployment to some or all LaneHawk stores. Modules can be complete or they can depend on an earlier version already being installed.
